About

I started my research journey in the fields of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. In later years, my work developed in the fields of protein biophysics, biochemistry and chemical biology. I earned my doctorate from the department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Post PhD, I founded a start-up to work on the development of applications for peptide-based biomolecules for prevention and treatment of infectious and non- infectious diseases. As a founder, I was successfully able to lead a team of researchers through multiple quests and challenges. At present, the start-up is funded by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Govt. of India.

Research Group Overview

  • My research is focussed on the development of biomolecular therapeutics. At our lab, we are working on development of biomolecular drug delivery vectors and drug-like molecules. The other segment of the research comprises of the use of Network Biology and Combinatorial Therapy for the development of Personalized and Network Medicine. Our target disease models include antimicrobial resistance, Infectious diseases, Metabolic disorders, Alzheimer’s and Cancers
