Dr. Sudheer D V N Pamidimarri, PhD
– 2009: PhD in Biological Sciences from the CSIR, India.
– Recipient of awards and scholarships
About
After obtaining my PhD from the Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institute – CSIR, India (2009) in Biological Sciences, I held posts in Dongguk University, South Korea; Korean Institute of Energy Research, South Korea; Ajou University, South Korea. My major research interests are studying and establishing novel whole-cell biocatalysis (WCB) systems for biofuel and biochemical synthesis.
Background
- 2009: PhD in Biological Sciences from the Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institute – CSIR, India.
Honours and Awards
- Recipient of awards and scholarships from the Indian government, including CSIR-JRF, SRF, RA and the prestigious Ramalingaswami re-entry fellowship, DBT-India. Also, recipient of various research grants from government bodies and industry.
Research Group Overview
- My research group is interested in biosystem engineering, metabolic engineering & biofuels. Our core research area is the study of novel whole-cell biocatalysis (WCB) systems for biofuel and biochemical synthesis. My research also focuses on metabolic flux engineering, green synthesis of fuels and bacterial hydrogen production from various waste biomasses. Presently working on Bio- H2 production (funded by DBT-India) using waste biomass such as lignocellulosic derived sugars and crude glycerol via metablic flux engineering
