Environmental Biotechnology
Gujarat Biotechnology University offers this 2-year full-time MSc programme that provides the knowledge and skills to develop products to aid in securing the environment for future generations. Students taking this course will be acquainted to a suite of techniques and research-led teaching which will provide them a robust foundation for applying their knowledge to help combat challenges such as pollution, ecological integrity and the impacts of climate change.

- Soil, air and water resource management and remediation; carbon storage in soil
- Biodiversity and conservation strategies
- Biological solutions to urban life; avoidance, re- and upcycling of urban waste
- Organic and low input systems, sustainability of food production
- Principles of the circular economy and sustainable product design
- Community-based environmental sustainability
- Strategies against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and zoonotic diseases
Exchange and Travel Opportunities
- There will be an opportunity for student placements at the University of Edinburgh during the programme
