Medical Biotechnology
In this two-year full-time MSc programme, students will learn how to convert the key biomedical and medical research into specific applications related to pharmaceutical innovation, disease control, and ameliorating the effects of ageing or disability. This will be reinforced through robust training in bioethics, biosafety and the regulatory processes required to bring medical biotechnology products to the market.

- Immunology, pathophysiology and personalised medicine
- Clinical trial and associated regulatory procedures
- Development and design of PoC devices
- Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) avoidance and mitigation
- Community-based medical biotechnology
- OMICS technologies, pharmacogenomics and bioinformatics
