CENTRAL INSTRUMANTATION FACILITY
Guidelines for using CIF Facility: –
1. Please fill out https://io.gbu.edu.in/cif along with all necessary documents.
2. All charges are on a per-sample basis unless specified otherwise.
3. The users are categorized into three main categories as mentioned below.
a. State and national R&D Laboratories and Universities
b. Startups/MSMEs
c. Industry (large and medium scale)
4. Good and Services Tax as per the Government of India rule (at present 18% of the total bill amount) is payable along with the analysis charge.
5. Payment should be made in advance through the online transaction using below mentioned link:
6. All samples should be purified before being sent for analysis. No clean-up will be done at GBU-Gandhinagar. Entire details about the sample need to be provided by the user in the form.
7. User should clearly mention specific biohazardous/chemical hazards if any in the request form.
8. GBU will not have any liability whatsoever arising out of using the analysis report.
9. For each type of analysis, separately coded, labeled, and properly packed samples in sufficient quantity should be submitted.
10. Analysis report (soft/hard copy) will be given to the client. Please note that interpretation of the result, a conclusion based on the result, certificate, recommendation, etc. will not be provided with the routine analysis. Additional charges will be applied for such interpretation of the data obtained from the instruments based on the expertise if available at GBU-Gandhinagar.
11. The sample left out after analysis will be destroyed routinely as per GBU CIF policy.
12. GBU will never claim any co-authorship in the form of publications/reports/IP generated by using CIF. However, GBU shall encourage all the users to acknowledge, C I F – GBU in the publications in which CIF-GBU facility will be availed by the user.
13. GBU has the right to cancel, postpone/re-schedule the analysis if needed or in case of any unwarranted circumstances.
14. Extra cost for the analysis of the sample will be charged if it requires specific solvent/chemicals/specific conditions.
15. The sample analysis charges may vary or change as decided by the CIF committee.
